Since the publication of The Play Ethic in 2004, Pat has been engaged by organisations globally, in work/playshops, hackspaces and foresight exercises, to consult on issues of play, innovation and creativity in organisations/enterprises. He has also contributed to a number of academic symposia and journals on these topics.

Museum of The Future
Pat was involved in the Amsterdam ideation process for two "Museums of the Future" (2015 and 2017), an installation-exhbition set up for the World Government Summit in Dubai (see credits at the end)
Stanford University Press
In 2012, Pat was asked to contribute an essay to the Stanford University Press volume, Learning from the Global Financial Crisis (ed by Paul Shrivastava & Matt Statler). Pat's essay was "The Play Ethic and the Financial Crisis".
A Play Ethic for Big Data
In 2016, the marketing agency Dentsu asked Pat to research and present to senior management on the relationship between practices of play and creativity, and the phenomenon of "big data"/programmatic advertising (presentation here).
